The mural "Kutz on a pony" is located on the side wall of a tenement house at 3 Wypoczynkowa Street in the Szopienice district of Katowice. It was unveiled on November 4, 2019, less than a year after the death of Kazimierz Kutz. The project was created by Erwin Sówka, one of the most important representatives of the Janowska Group, and the large-format painting was executed by the artistic group NIETAK.

The composition depicts a young Kazimierz Kutz galloping on a horse among the clouds. Under the animal's hooves, film strips unfurl, symbolising the director's body of work. The title of the work is a humorous play on words, referencing the artist's surname and the Silesian term for a horse – "kuc."

In the background, the smoking chimneys of the Uthemann Steelworks are visible, which for years have shaped the landscape and identity of Szopienice. The location of the mural also has symbolic significance – it is situated near the Dworcowy Garden, the place where Kazimierz Kutz was born and raised. The work thus combines the personal history of the director, Silesian humour, and the industrial heritage of the district.

The mural was created at the initiative of Gazeta Wyborcza – in collaboration with the City of Katowice.
