The mural by French artist Al Sticking is located on the facade of the Silesian Center for Freedom and Solidarity named after the Nine Coal Miners from Wujek in Katowice. It is a new version of a work created in 2018, which disappeared due to the building's expansion.

On a vertical surface, the artist placed the inscription "WE REMEMBER," into which he incorporated the faces of nine miners who died during the pacification of the "Wujek" mine in December 1981. Above them is the image of Sebastian Żołna, a miner's rescuer from the "Staszic-Wujek" mine.

The figure of the contemporary miner connects history with the present and reminds us of the role of rescuers who helped the injured during the tragic events of the past. The mural is a tribute to the victims of the pacification, and at the same time a story about memory, the continuity of mining traditions, and the responsibility of successive generations to preserve history.
