The mural at the School and Preschool Complex No. 13 in Katowice-Giszowiec depicts the history of the district from its founding in 1906 to the present day. The composition takes you through 120 years of Giszowiec's transformations, reminding you of its unique character, local heritage, and significance for successive generations of residents.

The work was created on the occasion of the district's anniversary in 2026. It combines artistic and educational functions, bringing the history of Giszowiec closer to students, residents, and visitors to this part of Katowice.

The implementation was financed as part of the local initiative of the City of Katowice. The project was created thanks to the involvement of the local community, the facility's management, and the Art Giszowiec group.
