"The rapid technological development affects not only the lifestyle of each of us but also the condition and functioning of human clusters of residents in blocks, tenements, cities, tram passengers, or the masses of pedestrians." We strive for maximum comfort and economic efficiency, but it has its side effects—climatic, demographic, and also mental. The place we call home has changed its face over the past decades. Thanks to technology, we build more, higher, and tighter. However, the home is the place where we, the fundamental components of civilisation, live. Are we sure we want it to be tighter, flatter, and more square? Concrete defines consciousness, life demands space, and one day we will abandon rectangular caves and set off... where?
